Littlehampton is a town in the Arun district of West Sussex, England. The town is 43.5 miles (70.0 km) southwest of London, 18.7 miles (30.1 km) southwest of the county town of Chichester, and 7.5 miles (12.1 km) west-southwest of Worthing. It is the most populous civil parish in West Sussex.
The town is on the English Channel coast and has a relatively small beach of pebbles and sand. The greensward on the beach is a public park managed by Littlehampton Town Council. Salt Meadow Park borders the east end of the beach and comprises lowland reed beds, freshwater pools and saltmarsh. As the foreshore is privately owned, the town has no harbour, although the little river Arun does provide moorings for a few private boats in the town centre and leads up to those at Ford. There is a strong sailing and surfing community. The town plays host to the annual Littlehampton bonfire, one of the largest bonfire celebrations in Sussex.
