Balagtas is a municipality in the province of Bulacan, Philippines. It is bordered by the municipalities of Guiguinto to the north, Bocaue to the east, and Plaridel to the south. Balagtas is approximately 56 kilometres (35 mi) north of Manila. The town is named after the famous Tagalog poet Francisco Balagtas.
The town is home to the Francisco Balagtas Monument, which was erected in his honour. The monument features a statue of the poet, as well as a museum with exhibits on his life and work.
Balagtas is also home to the Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto, a popular pilgrimage site. The grotto features a life-sized statue of the Virgin Mary, and is said to have healing powers.
