Adair is a town in Mayes County, Oklahoma, United States. The population was 1,685 at the 2010 census. It is notable as the birthplace of Olympic gold medalist Shannon Miller. The town was named for William Penn Adair, a Cherokee chief. Adair is located in eastern Oklahoma, approximately twenty minutes from the Arkansas border.
