Three Things Thursday

The most super random-est Three Things Thursday ever.
1. Happy Birthday to my blogger friend Rachelle! She is hosting a Virtual Race in honor of her 38th birthday. I decided to use my miles from my 5K that I ran on the 4th of July to help her celebrate. My plan was to run the 5K and then do another .7 miles walking to cool down. Little did I know that my Garmin went bonkers. I finished the 5K and had a great time and then my distance stayed at 3.14 for the next 30 minutes while we walked. So, I think I still get some credit for this, right? Go visit Rachelle’s blog and join in on the fun.
2. Deodorant: I’m trying out a new deodorant (you’re welcome). I’ve been trying to use more natural skin products and especially deodorant (I won’t get into too many details why, but suffice it to say that I know too many young people dealing with too many horrible diseases and I’m just trying to cut back on the number of chemicals I put on the largest organ of my body (skin)). I’ve been using Tom’s Deodorant for a while and just don’t think it’s working very well. So, yesterday I did a quick Google search for the best natural deodorants and found that my local natural foods store carried one, so I’m trying it out. I hope it works better.
(I was hoping you couldn’t tell I took this picture in my car – oops – I wasn’t driving)
3. Time: My younger child is away at sleepaway camp this week (his first time away, but that’s material for its own post), and my husband is on vacation for the summer. You would think I’d have more free time, but I just don’t. Blogging is just not getting the time I’d love to be able to spend on it. Thank you for all the amazing support for my post the other day. I wish I had the time to talk about how awesome Best Body Bootcamp continues to be. Or to give you all an update on my chiropractic treatment on my toe… but let’s just say that I think everything is getting better. Although my toe has been hurting more lately, I do think the ART treatment is helping. He took some x-rays last night to see because it is a rather unusual issue. He did sort of say that maybe I shouldn’t run if it’s causing me pain. So, I’m going to take it easy for a few days while it recovers from treatment.
Random enough for you? Anyone else use a natural deodorant? Any favorites?
