1. Have you seen the #Surviveon35 Challenge? – I’ve been so inspired by this challenge and by those who are participating. The challenge is sponsored by Anytime Fitness and 10 bloggers are challenged to eat healthy on a budget of $35/person for a week. They are not allowed to use their current pantry supplies. The ‘winners’ will be given $1000 to donate to their favorite local food pantry. While this challenge has sparked some controversy – I completely agree with one of the participants, Bess – who shared her thoughts in this post.
2. I went for a bike ride yesterday afternoon – an easy ride with Dude to get him out of the house for a bit. Then, all evening my left shoulder was sore. WTH? This morning I went for another ride, this time it was 10 miles all by myself. My shoulder still hurt. Not while I was going, but when I’d stop or shift my left arm, I’d get a pain in my shoulder. Now it’s not as painful, but again… WTH? Then, towards the end of my ride, my left knee started to hurt. The same stupid behind my kneecap pain that I often feel when biking. Ugh. It’s been a good 2 weeks since I was on my bike – I guess that wasn’t enough. And, I guess I should pick back up with my strength exercises a little more seriously.
3. Yesterday was the 10th anniversary of the day we moved in to this house. I don’t think I’ve lived anywhere for this long. Not that I’ve moved around a lot, I’ve really lived in the same general area my whole life… just 10 years seems like such a milestone.
How’s that for all over the place today? How long was the longest you lived in one house/apartment?
And…. because I don’t really have any pictures for you, here are a few more from our vacation.
Lovely pictures! We’ve lived in our house almost six years and this is the longest we’ve lived in one place. I had read about that challenge but not the controversy surrounding it. We’ve got 9 in our family so that would be feeding us on $315 a week, which is actually a little more than I spend for food each week. Not counting paper goods, etc. Diane, fit to the finish recently posted..If You Do Not Want To Know The Answer, Do Not Ask
Wow, 10 years is a long time! I think the longest I lived in one house was in my parents house. After that, I guess the house in San Francisco that I lived in for about 2 years! I move around a lot! Travel Spot recently posted..Run The Day
16 years – the house I was born and raised in! Since then, probably 8 years. Most of our moves have been to move closer to our kids’ schools. I hope your shoulder gets better as quckly as it started hurting! Coco recently posted..Wet In The City
Wow! Beautiful pics! Sorry about your biking pains:( So annoying. 10 years is a long time. We have lived in our current house for 7 years now and that seems long for me. hikermom recently posted..Free Rant Friday

GORGEOUS photos once again! Yes, 10 years IS a lot! We’ve lived here about that long and I feel the need to move simply to purge my stuff!

ooh, I’m good at purging stuff. I’ve already done our playroom and my garage this summer. I hate clutter.

Thanks! Wow, a family of 9. That’s a lot of food preparation.

Yes, that qualifies for moving around a lot! Hope you’re having a good day.

It doesn’t feel like 10 years. My pains are going away, the dumb knee pain is really only on the bike and my shoulder mysteriously went away. Odd.
We’re coming up on 9 years in our current home, that’s double my longest stretch living in any one place.
Hope the left knee, shoulder and everything on your left side is well.
Yes, I was feeling a little lopsided, but I think things are better. Thanks.
