Sports Fan – What’s your sport to watch?

Sports fan…
We are big sports fans here. Number one in our house is College Football. USC specifically.
The view from our regular seats
Number two is Dodger baseball (MMT and I went to a Dodger game on our first date).
At Bark in the Park at Dodger Stadium a few years ago.
Number three is hockey. Kings hockey. Growing up I used to think that hockey was brutal and violent. When MMT and I were dating he took me to my first hockey game. It was 1993, the last season that the Kings made it to the Stanley Cup finals. It was so fun! We even went to see the Stanley Cup on display at some hotel the week of the games.
Needless to say, the Stanley Cup games have dominated the tv in our house this week. MMT even recorded games 1 and 2 and endured radio silence and social media silence in order to not have games ruined before he could finish watching. And, yes he had headphones on listening to game 5 since it was smack in the middle of Dancing Girl’s recital on Saturday.
Thankfully last night, there was no interference and we all cheered on the Kings. Yay!

And, FYI – we aren’t huge basketball fans. We watch, it’s exciting when it’s your home team that’s doing well. Ok, so MMT would probably disagree. He’s a fan. But since my college always has a horrible basketball team, I’ve just never gotten in to it.
And, another FYI – horse racing and show jumping events also merit tv watching from me
but I’m alone on that one in my house. Oh, and anything Olympics, too.
An amazing athlete.

I like to watch football mostly. I also love to watch any sport my kids are playing so that means soccer, baseball, or basketball. Next year my son will be playing football so that will be fun (and a little scary).

I do enjoy watching my kids’ sports, too. They were super cute when they were tiny, then there was the awkward middle phase. Now that they’re bigger and competitive, it’s exciting again. My son played flag football and it was pretty low key and not scary. He’s playing again this fall. Good luck to you on that.
ahhhhhh!!! love this! i heart sports so much! love braves baseball, louisville basketball and football, the DERBY! and the Olympics:) also college softball!
Yay for the Derby! And the Olympics!!
I became a huge Nascar fan, thanks to my college roommate I had about 12 years ago. I didn’t know much about it, but she got me started in it. It doesn’t hurt that there’s lots of cute boys that drive, but you don’t see them unless you watch the interviews before and after the race! LOL I grew up in a sports household with my dad and brother being sports fans, but I think college and pro football are probably what I follow the most. My dad is a pretty big baseball fan, and I can remember watching the Cubs all the time, and I used to know the starting lineup.
Nascar is something I’ve never understood. I have a roomate from college that is a huge Cubs fan. I think that you can only be a Cubs fan if you are a ‘huge’ Cubs fan. There’s no middle ground.
College football! YAY other than that anything Olympics.

Who is your college football team? Yay for the Olympics, I’m so excited. I seriously watch EVERYTHING!!
Except for the olympics and the super bowl I don’t watch sports. I rarely watch TV at all.

I find fewer and fewer tv shows to watch lately. But, I do have some favorites and I’m rather a sucker for most Food Network shows.
We are big college football fans but I admit that we watch just about anything sports related on tv. We watched playoffs for professional baseball, basketball, hockey, and football. From time to time we get to catch a great Spanish soccer game or we might even watch a little golf, tennis, bowling, etc. Allan won’t watch figure skating with me but that’s ok. The Olympics will be DVRed most likely and watched when we are both home so we don’t miss anything.
