Do you dream big? If you’ve missed the fun over on Pinterest (and on many other blogs around lately), there are a whole lot of amazing people putting together their Fitness Bucket Lists.
I went big on a few – but, I’ll start with the attainable ones. So, we start with a lot of Disney.

The Princess Half-Marathon looks awesome. Which then leads to the…

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend. If I’m super ambitious, I’d say I’d love to do the Goofy Challenge.

Which leads to the Tinkerbell Half-Marathon. Which then naturally leads to completing the Coast to Coast Challenge.

So, that may be it for Disney. Maybe.
Next, I’m dying to do a Warrior Dash.

And a Color Run

Seriously – these look like so much fun. Give me some crazy friends and let us get dirty – how much fun could that be…
As far as health and fitness people I’d like to meet, here are two.

Between her awesome work out ethic, and her fantastic initiatives for health and nutrition for kids. Michelle Obama is awesome. I’d love to workout with her and then cook something amazing from the White House garden. I can dream, right?
Then, I’d love to take some cooking lessons from this guy.

Alton Brown. I love his scientific-ness (yes, I made that up) behind cooking. He makes it so that you understand how everything in a recipe worked.
And finally – here are a few pie in the sky dreams.

An Elliptigo. It’s a combo bike and elliptical machine. Take it out on the regular roads. Isn’t it cool?

I am happy to say I did the WDW Marathon and will be doing the Disneyland Half in Sept to earn that Coast to Coast medal!! I can’t wait. I would love to do the Color Run and the Warrior Dash or one of those types of runs. We have tons in our area, but they never seem to fall at the right time.

The Disneyland Half was my first half. It’s a fantastic race. It’s handy to be in my backyard, I know the year that I can get to Florida, I’m all over that Coast to Coast! Good luck in September. I’m hopefully going to get out there to volunteer, maybe I’ll be able to cheer you on!
What a fun idea! I think one of my fitness bucket list items would be to run the NYC marathon or do an iron man. Those would be really hard and time consuming, but maybe one day!

Those are great goals! Dream big!
you and I have a few of the same things on our fitness bucket list!

Great minds… thanks!
I am dying to do the Princess Half this year, especially since it’s the five year anniversary of the race, but I’m not sure if it will be too soon after the baby. I’d love to run New York one day and also do Big Sur.
Victoria recently posted..Free Chocolate and Granny Panties
Big Sur looks like an amazing race.
I want to do one of the Disney races too. They look so fun! Color run, not so much:). I saw some people riding those elliptigo machines last time I rode my bike. They look like a blast! Great bucket list, I need to work on mine:)
My husband think the elliptigo machine is wacky. Disney is awesome.
This is a great list! Right now I’m just focusing on running my first marathon and then I’ll figure out what’s next.

Your first marathon is a huge undertaking. So excited for you!
Oohh! I love that your bucketlist has people you’d like to meet on it! That’s a great perspective I hadn’t thought about. I think at the top of that list would be trainer bob for sure!!

Oh, Trainer Bob – awesome. Although he scares me.
I just finished a mud run called the Ruckus and it was a blast I have already signed up for another obstacle course run called the Diva Dash, I can’t wait! I also signed up for the Color Me Rad run in Boston in July, I think it is so much fun to challenge myself with new adventures.
I haven’t heard of the Ruckus, but the Diva Dash is another one I’d be up for doing. Now to sucker some friends into going
Um, is that Michelle running in PEARLS!?

I don’t think she’s running. It looks like a dress, her arms are just in a running-like position.
Those Disney runs all look like great bucket list material.
Fortunately, the Paris Marathon is something I can scratch off my list. I’ve done it twice and it was as fabulous as it sounds. Though if that picture is from the marathon they have changed the course. Hmmm, I might just have to go back.

How cool that you ran the Paris Marathon! I was in Paris last summer and went for a run on my own down the Champs de Elysee and thought I had the time of my life
I love your list! The Goofy races aren’t on mine, but that would make a lot of sense to do it when L is old enough to enjoy Disney as a family vacation. And I’d love to meet Michelle too– childhood obesity, gardening, love her passions! I think you saw mine, but here’s the link: http://www.mommyrunfast.com/2012/06/11/fitness-bucket-list-and-a-winner/

Isn’t Mrs. Obama awesome? I just a saw an episode of Restaurant Impossible that she was involved with. Love her and her message.
I love your bucket list – so much fun!!! I am so with you on meeting Michelle Obama! My sister got to meet her & said she is amazing in person too!

How cool that your sister met the First Lady. And I love how so many people call her by her first name. It’s like she’s all of our best friends.
http://www.athensmarathon.com/ you should check this one out! This is on my bucket list.
WOW! Athens!! That’d be amazing!!!!
oops! Let me put the link to my blog so you can check mine out!

I just blogged about this too! I haven’t run any Disney races, but they do look fun! You have a great list

I love reading everyone’s lists. Off to check yours out.
What a great idea to create a fitness bucket list! And to catalog it on Pinterest?!? Smart and fun! Thanks

Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for visiting and commenting.
Great list! Somebody needs to get cracking on those Disney races…
I know – I’ve got a big list to tackle. If only I had the funds to match my list.
Great list. I would love to workout with Michelle Obama and cook with Alton Brown, too. Good ones!
Felice @ The Happy Runner recently posted..Mental running lessons.
Isn’t Alton Brown awesome? I’ve never had one of his recipes go wrong. I still make some of his Thanksgiving recipes each and every year.
Hey, a Gir’s gotta dream! This was a fun post. Thanks for sharing some great ideas.
I think running in Paris would be so amazing! Love that.
Elle recently posted..Tuesday Tune Up!
I did go running in Paris on my own last summer when I was there. It was pretty amazing. But, to do a race there (and to go back) would be awesome, too.
ran the princess 1/2 in 2011- definitely bring your camera. WDW is on my bucket list as well. I would LOVE to run pretty much ANY race in Europe. I’m assuming with all the cobblestone streets the time would be slower, but the views would be worth it!
lisa J recently posted..June’s New To you Cross Training
I think I’d bring my camera along like a Disney race for any race in Europe. They could laugh at me as much as they wanted. When I went to Europe last summer I tried to find a shorter race to run that fit my itinerary, but I was there in the summer and it just didn’t work out. Would have been awesome.
The Goofy Challenge is on my bucket list for sure, as well as Coast to Coast and the Princess. I would love to run a race in NY/NJ as well. Besides that I’m not sure. Your list looks great!
