Happy 4th of July, Vacation style.
Happy Independence Day!! I’m up early this morning getting settled and ready for the local 5K. Dancing Girl and I are doing it together. Dude is going to do the kids’ dash at the end.
Last night, we were reminiscing about our 4th of July vacation and celebration last year. We went on our family vacation over the 4th and celebrated in Cortez, CO. It was really fun to be in a different spot on the holiday. Actually, we had spent that morning driving from the Grand Canyon to Cortez with a stop at the Four Corners Monument.
That day the monument was under construction – so we were only able to be in 2 states at a time. Dude wants to go back.

They put on a fabulous fireworks display. It was a fun way to celebrate.

I’ve celebrated a couple Fourth of July’s on vacation, they were fun, too! Only two corners?? Gypped!:)
