It was quite an interesting day yesterday – Dancing Girl came down with hives and we ended up at the doctor in the afternoon. We don’t think we’ll be able to identify the source of the reaction, but she’s responding well to prednisone and an antihistamine. Then, after taking the exhausted child (from Benadryl) out to dinner, we come home to realize that Dude has a 101.6 temperature.
Ah, the fun of parenting. They were quite a pair.
So, now this is the first morning that I’m up and having coffee in a quiet house. I love my morning time.
I’m finally getting to download my pictures from my trip while I type this – YAY!!
Look at how our gardening efforts have paid off. We may have the largest cucumbers ever.
Yesterday, I also picked a few tomatoes.
You would think I would have had enough of this type of food by now, but since I had some mozzerella in the fridge, I used an onion from the garden too and made this for lunch. By the way, it must be the Italian soil because my home grown tomatoes still don’t taste as amazing as the tomatoes I ate in Italy.
Look what’s still growing in our garden.
A baby cucumber
A baby tomato (there are lots of green ones – yay!)
I’m loving my garden! We’ve also got some corn that’s almost ready.
