Foodie Pen Pals – June Reveal Day
Hello Foodie Pen Pal Fans! It’s the big day for the June Foodie Pen Pal Reveal.
This month I received a wonderful box from Tasha at Healthy Diva Cooking. When we emailed each other, we chatted about enjoying local treats from our Pen Pals and that’s what arrived on my doorstep.
Tasha lives in the Spokane area and sent me a box of local goodies.
I think Dude enjoys getting the box in the mail as much as I do.
Here’s my awesome box of goodies. Pumpkin Seeds, an amazing peanut butter granola, and 3 Bumble Bee Bars. The bars were Cherry, Almond and Chocolate.
Tasha told me that the Bumble Bee Bars are one of her favorite snacks and asked me to share which flavor was my favorite. Well, I’m happy to report that I was able to try them all
. I thought I’d like the chocolate the best, but it was just ok. However, the cherry was fantastic and the almond was even better. Who would have thought I’d prefer the non-chocolate flavor?
The pumpkin seeds were a great beach snack, too.
This is my 5th month participating in Foodie Pen Pals. It’s so much fun. Go check out Linsday’s blog to get all the details. I think there are something over 1000 bloggers that are participating around the world now. How awesome in Lindsay and her oversea cohort Carol Anne for organizing such fun? Thank you!!
Due to some scheduling conflicts this month, I’m taking the month off, but I will be back in August. Can’t wait. And, for June I sent a box to Alison at Crafty Bake Oven. Go check out her blog to see her goodies.
Have you ever had a Bumble Bee Bar? Are you surprised when you prefer a different flavor than your usual favorite?
I am glad that you enjoyed the Bumble Bars! Their is another flavor that I really like that is Chai

Chai sounds yummy! I really expected to like the chocolate the best, but the almond and the cherry were even better. And that granola lasted me forever. Thank you again so much!!
I have never heard of a Bumble Bar before, but I think I may have to make a purchase from their website now!

If I remember correctly, it was mostly sesame seeds and flax seeds. Very chewy and yummy and satisfying. Love trying new things!
That is an awesome idea! Looks great!!

I’m a fan of Bumble Bars too! I discovered them in Whole Foods a few months ago. I sent them to my penpal for May
How was the PB granola?

The PB granola was amazing. It was a huge bag and seemed to last forever. I’m glad to hear that the Bumble Bars are available at Whole Foods. I’d love to keep some in my house – they were good!
I haven’t tried a Bumble Bar, but just by the packaging I think I want too… I didn’t know Cliff made crunchy bars!!!! Every night this week I’ve had one of those bumbled over frozen yogurt for dessert… yum! Have you done a post on your running gear? I just signed up for the Avon 40 mile walk in Boston next year…
Wow! A 40 mile walk – that’s wonderful. Good luck!
Mmmm pumpkin seeds are so tasty and so nutritious! Love!

I have never tried the Bumble Bee bar. It sounds good though! I am taking the month off this month as well! It’s just too busy in July!
