So many fitness options – there’s something for everyone

The summer round of Tina’s Best Body Bootcamp wrapped up last week. I definitely struggled with the last 2 weeks. While I got in a daily workout, I didn’t come close to following the planned workouts. I definitely let my toe get in the way. There are so many moves that I have to modify, it just didn’t seem worth it. I probably should have figured out a happy middle ground, but I didn’t. I give Tina and Bootcamp full credit for the fact that I can now easily do an on-the-fly 30 minute strength workout. I may possibly not do a super well designed workout, but I feel like I’m working out, so that’s good.
I did get in 2 runs this past week. On Friday, I went for a 30 minute hilly run that turned out to be great.
Sunday I went for another run. I decided to change my intervals to 2:20/:40 as I’ve been starting to feel like the 1:00 walk part is ready to be shortened. The run was ok. No aches or pains, which is the best part. But, my body was definitely feeling tired from the 2nd run of the week as well as the shortened walk interval made a huge difference. When I was finished, my ankle gave me a few pinchy moments, but nothing worse than before.
I’m not convinced the Lidoderm patch is helping. But, I’m supposed to apply it every day for a month, so I’m guessing that means it’s not an overnight cure. My toe is really happy with the new insert. I have very very very rare bouts of pain. And, I continue to be super careful about how much the toe gets flexed – still no full push up positions or lunges to flex the toes.
I decided to switch up my bootcamp programs for the fall. One of my favorite bloggers Tamara is offering a bootcamp targeted to women over 40. I’m rather excited to try something new – a whole new group of people and a whole new take on bootcamp fitness. Tamara’s program is 10 weeks long, so it’ll take me almost to Thanksgiving. I love that there are so many fitness options available online. So many amazing people who put together great programs, there is definitely something for everyone. You can find more information about Tamara’s program by clicking on this link. Read about why it’s targeted to women over 40 and how Tamara specializes in this demographic.
And I got to meet Tamara at Fitbloggin – love her!!!
