Do you like to use natural products? Love to try things out before you buy a big supply? Then keep reading to learn about Daily Dose of Green.
Daily Dose of Green is a monthly sampling service of natural products delivered right to your door. When you join the subscription service, you fill out a member profile and your sample products will be customized. I was offered the opportunity to sample their September box. Keep reading to the end for your chance to sample some natural goodies too.
I received their September sample box. It was full of wonderful goodies.
Here are the food items: Olive the World Blood Orange Olive Oil, Farm Boy Flap Jacks Buckwheat Pancake Mix (yay pancakes), Margo’s Nutz Southwest Almond Slices and 2 Rise Breakfast Bars.
Hello pancakes! Of course I chose to make pancakes and not waffles. I dove into that mix the other day and loved them.
I found that the Buckwheat batter wasn’t as forgiving as my usual pancakes, or maybe I’m just a heavy handed cook. But, I got the hang of how to cook them and they turned out wonderfully. Buckwheat pancakes are grain free are thin and crispy around the edges. Amazing! They didn’t hold up so well to my blueberries and chocolate chips that I typically add to pancakes, but it all worked.
The almonds had a little kick and were also fantastic.
Here are the more household items from the box. Dr. Cleangreen’s Instant Hand Purifier, By Valenti Organics Dark Raw Chocolate Soap, Nardo’s Natural Hand Lotion and Daddy Van’s Furniture Polish.
At first I was ready to taste the raw chocolate. I’m glad I read the box closely as it’s soap. Great soap, but I was sad that it wasn’t edible. Look at the picture, I was a little tempted to just taste that little chocolate bit to be sure it was soap. But, I refrained.
The Nardo’s Natural Lotion has been wonderful. It leaves my skin soft and isn’t greasy or heavy at all. The Dr. Cleangreen’s Hand Purifier is amazing too.
I have to say that each and every item in the box that I’ve tried so far has been wonderful. I love the idea of trying out new products each month in sample sizes. The way the subscription works is that you can also earn points that you can redeem when you purchase full size products. The monthly subscription price is $15.00. With a longer subscription purchase, there is a free month included. I did a little more research on the pricing of the full sizes of a few items, and they seem pretty reasonable for all natural products – the pancake mix is $5.00 for 12 oz., the chocolate soap is $7.00.
Now it’s your turn. Do you want to try a box of amazing samples of natural products? The people at Daily Dose of Green have offered a box to one of my readers. Follow the instructions on the Rafflecopter thingy below.
Contest ends at midnight on Wednesday, October 17, 2012. Open to US Residents only.
Disclaimer: I received the box from Daily Dose of Green at no cost. All opinions are my own. I was not required to write a positive review, I just really liked the products.

Um. What’s not to love about yummy, healthy chocolate?!
Buckwheat mix
I would love to try the raw soap…or the furniture polish… actually, everything looks amazing!

The furniture polish is one thing I haven’t used yet. Is it totally sad that I’m not sure what pieces of furniture I even own that need to be ‘polished’? I fail at housework.
Buckwheat Pancake & Waffle Mix
I think the furniture polish or the pancake mix would be great. I’ve been trying to cycle out all of the chemical cleaners that I have in my apartment (and the scary ones that were there when I moved in) and moving towards more natural cleaners. The furniture polish might be good for when I decide to actually dust my wooden bookshelves and cabinets and not just blow the dust off!
I’d have to say the chocolate soap would be awesome…even if it’s not edible!

the bar soap for sure
I would LOVE the pancake mix. Seriously. I love pancakes. Have a bit of an obsession. And now I want them. Damn.
The chocolate soap looks awesome! And so do those almond slices!
I recently subscribed to Daily Dose of Green and I am loving their service! Looks like you got a great box — my favorite item is the Dr. Cleangreen’s, I’ve used it before and I love the scent it has.
