I mentioned a little while back that I was looking for a non-water drink that had a little flavor, but wasn’t full of artificial sweeteners. My old favorite drink tasted like metal and sometimes something other than water and coffee are called for. When I was contacted by Cell-nique offering me a chance to try their Super Green Drink, I went to check out their website.
From the Cell-nique website:
- “Cell-nique Super Green is a USDA organic drink that energizes, detoxifies and nourishes your body with the equivalent of 8 servings of fruits & vegetables in every bottle.”
- “Cell-nique is Vegan, gluten-free, low-calorie.”
- “All flavors of Cell-nique Super Green contain the same 31 organic super foods. Most of the sugar count comes from the naturally occurring sugars in the fruits and vegetables, with a small amount of stevia and organic blue agave.”
Look at all the flavor options. So many to choose from.
I was a little bummed that I didn’t get the chocolate flavor, I’m super curious about that one. But, they did send me 6 different flavors.
Here’s my verdict: YUM!
The flavors are very subtle. Yes, it’s a “Super Green Drink“. And I’m not usually a fan of smoothies and other type drinks. I like to chew my food. But, there were a few times this past week that we were super busy in the evening and I grabbed a cold bottle of Cell-nique and it was filling and yummy and satisfying. In fact, one night a bottle of the Tropical Fruit Cell-nique and a piece of string cheese really covered me for dinner and until a cereal snack later (that chewing thing).
So far, I’ve tried the Tropical Fruit, Pomegranate and Japanese Roasted Tea flavors. The Tropical Fruit was super yummy and the Pomegranate was pretty good. I didn’t totally love the Roasted Tea, but wanted to make sure I tried it before writing my review as I that was the flavor I was least excited about. The website separates the flavors into 3 categories: Earthy, Fruity and Decadent. The Tea is considered Earthy, the other two are Fruity. I’m sure you all know your tastebuds and what flavors you’d enjoy.
The whole bottle is less than 100 calories and contains all kinds of amazing vitamins and nutrients. Really, these drinks are yummy! The one thing I’m a little curious about is that the ingredients are essentially the same for every flavor, so I’m not sure how they taste different.
You can get Cell-nique at Whole Foods and other health food stores as well as from the Cell-nique website. In fact, you can get your choice of any 1-3 bottles of Cell-nique right now and get free shipping. Follow this link to get your free shipping.
You can also find Cell-nique on Twitter and Facebook. They do an amazing job with their Facebook page by the way – not one of those companies that’s just ‘buy this’ – the other day they were talking about yoga. I love companies that use social media well!
Have you ever tried Cell-nique? Do you want to try it now? Do you like green drinks?
