23 PAWS – August Puppy Love

It’s August 23rd! Time for the Eat.Pray.Tri’s monthly blog hop of pet love – 23 PAWS. You can see my past puppy love posts here and here.
Today’s puppy love post is to share with you all the things that my dogs like to eat.
Dancing Girl has a Bearded Dragon Lizard. The lizard, Magic, has a bit of lettuce each morning. Dancing Girl and Petey have now come up with a routine where he has managed to get a bit of lettuce himself.
He practically begs for his greens.
Then there was the day when Petey camped out in front of the oven waiting for something to magically pop out for him. Didn’t happen.
What does happen is that my dog goes in the back yard and finds himself tangerines for snacks. Bad part is that he gets the yucky ones. Isn’t it nice of him to eat them on the couch? I love this first picture – he’s pretending that he wasn’t eating it.
“Fine, then, I’ll just go back to my fruit.”
Then there’s Cassie. She’s the picky eater of the two. She’d rather not eat if she doesn’t have to. Many times she’ll just lay down next to her food bowl and stare at me like “do I have to eat it?” In the picture below, her bowl is full. You can’t see Petey hovering… meal times are heavily supervised in our house. He must think she gets an endless supply of food.
So, there are the eating habits of my dogs. One that is the fruit and veggie lover and the other who really doesn’t like food.

so cute! I love dogs, I have two toy poodles and one will eat just about anything!
So funny how different they can be. Most people assume that dogs will eat anything.
It’s funny for me to think of a dog that doesn’t like to eat, but it’s kind of cute and endearing.
Dogs are definitely funny!
She’s definitely quirky.
That’s so funny:) MY youngest pup will eat veggies and fruits, but my oldest won’t touch them. My oldest is pretty cautious about foods. He has to sniff them thoroughly before he will eat them, even dog treats:)

That’s so funny! So does Cassie. But, the funny thing is when it comes to treats, she gobbles them down and Petey is more skeptical. Maybe cuz they don’t get them very often.
Oscar would wonder what the heck is wrong with your dog! He LOVES food, but he can’t have anything but his kibble. It doesn’t stop him from trying, though.

I think Petey does wonder what the heck is wrong with her. Either that or he thinks that she gets 3 meals each time.

That is so funny. Toby lays down to eat his food. He just lays in front of the bowl and eats and eats. We have to take it away from him. Lazy guy. Guinn eats until he is done and then he stops. So weird how different dogs have different habits. I love it though!! Petey is just the cutest.

Cassie does that too. She’ll eat and eat and then just be done, even if there is food left. I call her our Intuitive Eater.
They’re so cute.
Begging for greens?
Funny how cat and dog diets can differ at times. One of our cats would beg for olives but wait for me to take carrots and green beans out of his wet food!
